These are just some of the affirmative plaudits from our Space-Comm product introduction. Why? Because our 3D printed backshells and transitions are designed for open sleeve technology meeting the 260°C rating of woven steel braids.
A typical backshell used for braid attachment can weigh 17.7g, but this can increase to 62.2g when grafting an open sleeve to a legacy system. By comparison, our X1 at 10.34g with fewer than 5 parts can be typically 42% - 83% lighter, respectively, in NASA approved materials using the DLS process – and is 10x faster to assemble.
Buyers and end users were impressed with the clean finish and the level of detail and precision in CE221 and EPX150 high performance thermosets.
